Razer Viper vs Logitech G502 HERO: Differences & Similarities

DPI

Razer’s Viper Ultimate has a lot to offer when it comes to the sensitivity of the mouse. Viper Ultimate is featured with up to 20,000DPI along with 650+ IPS.

The Viper Ultimate is pretty fast and you can easily adjust the DPI as per your desire. Logitech G502 HERO offers a true 16,000DPI along with 400+IPS which is really fast as well.

Both of these mice have a lot of room for adjusting the DPI and it’s really necessary for some games. It’s not easy to play Skyrim and Battlefield with the same mouse sensitivity and this is where the DPI comes in.

Optical Sensor

Both of these mice are equipped with exceptional optical sensors. The Razer Viper Ultimate is equipped with Focus+ optical sensor which is the latest technology from Razer. This optical sensor offers up to 99.6% accuracy and the precision rate is through the roof as well.

The Logitech G502 HERO is also featured with a state-of-the-art optical sensor. The G502 is equipped with ‘HERO’ optical sensor which offers true 16K DPI with absolutely no smoothing and filtering. Both of these optical sensors are flawless and they are giving their competitors a run for their money.

Price

There’s a significant difference between the price of Viper Ultimate and G502 HERO.

The Viper Ultimate features the latest technology and that’s why it’s really more expensive than G502 HERO.

However, if you’re looking for something similar for a less price than you can also go for Viper Wired and Viper Mini. The Razer Viper Ultimate and Logitech G502 HERO are readily available on Amazon.

Design

Logitech G502 HERO and Razer Viper Ultimate have a really different design from each other but Viper Ultimate is more user-friendly.

The Razer Viper Ultimate has a modest down-to-earth design with a matte-black metal body and sturdy stance. There are 8 different optical programmable buttons including an on the fly DPI button that lets you change the DPI whenever you want.

The premium quality side grips and RBG lit logo on the bottom are also a great touch to the overall design of the mouse.

The Logitech G502 HERO has a sophisticated right-handed concept design. G502 is nothing like a standard mouse because it has a subtle matte-black metal body that is really hard to resist.

There are 11 customizable buttons on this thing along with on the fly DPI button as well. There’s a little room for RGB lights as well and ‘LIGHTSYNCH’ technology is used in this mouse which means that you can choose between 16.8 Million combinations.

However, G502 is only suited for right-handed people and if you’re a left-handed person then I have some bad news for you.

Weight

Razer finally decided to launch some light-weight mice in the market to let their fans have the taste of something different.  The Razer Viper Ultimate is the lightest mouse ever made by Razer and it weighs 74g (2.6oz).

Moving on, the Viper Ultimate is 12.6cm (4.9’’) long, 6.62cm (2.6’’) at the widest and about 3.7cm (1.4’’) deep. Viper Ultimate is considerably a long mouse and it’s best suited for people with large hands.

The Logitech G502 HERO is a completely different story. The G502 is really heavy and it’s weighed somewhere around 121g (4.2oz) and it is found in the category of mid-weight gaming mice.

Furthermore,  Logitech G502 HERO is around 13cm (5.1″) long, 4.3cm (1.6″) tall and 3cm (1.1″) at the widest. As mentioned, because of its design, the G502 is only suited for right-handed people and it’s the only downside of this one.

One more thing, if you’re used to playing with a heavy mouse then I wouldn’t suggest buying a light-weight mouse.

Connectivity

The Razer Viper Ultimate is a wireless mouse whereas G502 HERO is a wired mouse. Both of them are deadly fast and have a quick response rate as well. If you’re used to playing with a wired mouse then Viper might not be the best choice here.

Razer Viper Ultimate vs Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED

Razer Viper Ultimate offers 20,000DPI and 650+IPS along with a response rate of 1ms and featured with optical mouse switches. Viper Ultimate offers amazing battery timings and can last for nearly 70 hours.

The Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED is the wireless version of G502 and it offers 16,000DPI and 400+IPS along with a response rate of 1ms. G502 LIGHTSPEED is equipped with mechanical mouse switches along with a hyper-fast scroll wheel.

The G502 LIGHTSPEED also offers amazing battery timings and can last for up to 60 hours and the price tag is similar to Viper Ultimate.
